Description
St. Johann is a Protestant church in the old town of Schaffhausen ( canton Schaffhausen ). Start of construction was around 1000. In 1990, the last major renovation was completed.
The style of the facade is gothic, inside are different styles.
With a width of 34 meters, the church is the third largest church in Switzerland.
The church has a romantic organ , which was built in 1879 by organ builder Kuhn . The instrument was revised in 1929 and 1990 and today has 67 stops on three manuals and pedal . A special feature is the clarinet in II. Manual. It is located in a separate threshold box .
