Description
... and if my ball was the moon
MONTREUX, VAUD, SWITZERLAND
Two works come together here. We first discover this sculpture, in Montreux, on the shore of Lake Geneva. A ladder stands up to the sky and, up there, a child, his arm raised, holds a ball between his fingers. We are already enthusiastic about the originality of the winning work at the 2015 Biennial. Then we discover the poetic title: ... And if my ball was the Moon . We could stop there but we discover a text between the rungs of the ladder. Written in the form of a poem, it enlightens us on the work. Why did this child imagine that his marble could be the moon? It is DeLaPerouze who translated into a poem the sculpture conceived by Sara.H.
